It’s been a fulfilling month in 2019 – a month filled with the remembrance of the Blacks in diaspora. Such who fought for the rights of Blacks even when their lives were on the line. February is the month set aside to celebrate these phenomenal people. Therefore, the Black History Month (BHM) won’t be complete without bringing on board, the stage play: The Meeting.

For the year 2019, the U.S. Embassy Abuja in conjunction with the Department of Theatre & Performing Arts, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria presents the play:The Meeting, to celebrate BHM in a grand style.

The Meeting is a 1987 award-winning American play by Jeff Stetson about an imaginary meeting between Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X in 1965, situated in a hotel in Harlem during the height of the Civil Rights Movement.
