Yeah! we were live in Abuja yesterday to give away the scintillating performance of Jeff Stetson’s The Meeting. This is a collaborative effort between the Department of Theatre and Performing Arts, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and the Embassy of United State of America in Nigeria. To this effect, i had earlier made a post to a free entry.

Don’t tell me you ultimately missed it because i got you covered by launching a live video on Instagram, especially for those outside Abuja. But yeah, all that is gone now.

For your information, the 1,200 capacity auditorium within National Universities Commission (NUC) was filled to the brim and audience members would rather remain in the auditorium than leave. In fact, they made themselves comfortable, standing, patching on the seat handles and gallantly finding spaces on the stairways.

At the end, there was a robust round of applause and the cast and crew went into series of interviews with several TV stations such as People’s Television (PTV), Kaftan TV, and National Television Authority (NTA).

Also, there was a bit of reunion as graduates and friends of the Department of Theatre and Performing Arts were seen rejoicing.

Ladies and gentlemen, below are performance pictures: Before, During and After . Enjoy!!!

Never underestimate a very humble beginning. Above are the actors still trying to pick up their stage movements

The Head of Department , DR. Mrs. Liman, addressing the audience and special guests of honour in an opening remarks.
Seun (a student of Fine Art) made a quick but mind blowing piece of painting just before the performance last night

Thanks for dropping by. Do watch out for the next performances at ABU Zaria and BUK Kano respectively.

Happy New Month to you. Stay tuned…
